Norton Fitzwarren WRSA Steam Rally 2020

Norton Fitzwarren is a small Village on the outskirts of Taunton its a pretty sleepy Village until the beginning of August 2020 it becomes host to one of the largest Steam Rally’s in the Westcountry! The WRSA Steam Rally attracts thousands of visitors every year, it revolves around the WSR track on the far side of Norton Fitzwarren just as you leave the village. With excellent road links its not hard to miss. You can see the handy map above to show you how to get there.

Each year the WRSA steam rally gets bigger and bigger with a number of excellent trade stalls and food stalls as well.
The Rally offers a huge beer tent with excellent local ales and ciders alike!
So whilst you are waiting for the next parade of vehicles in the central display area or just enjoying the weather chill out with a nice cool beverage.

Here are the expected events and attractions at the Rally. Please note the list may change.

The glory of working traction engines, tractors and road rollers.
Polished perfection of vintage cars, motorcycles, fire engines, buses, military and commercial vehicles.
Vintage agricultural tractors.
The power of stationary engines.
Parades of vehicles.
Demonstrations of steam engines and tractors at work.
Heavy horses.
Brake van rides on the Barnstaple line.
Beer tent and refreshments.
Family fun, children’s entertainments and model train rides.
Large craft tent.
Something for everyone – displays, models, railway art, trade stands, craft marquee and stalls.
There will be plenty of refreshment and catering outlets around the rally site.
Car parking is free – entrance is just west of Norton Fitzwarren off the B3227.
Opening Times: 10am to 5pm (both days)
The Railway will operate a shuttle train service with trains running from Bishops Lydeard to Norton Platform which is adjacent to the Rally site.
In addition to the shuttle service, a frequent service of trains will be in operation on the Railway between Bishops Lydeard and Minehead on both days.
Special parking very close to the Rally is available for those with a valid blue disabled badge which must be displayed – access to this special parking area is off Allerford Lane.
In addition, buffet and bar facilities will be available on all WSR train services during the weekend, serving a range of hot and cold food, tea & coffee and a range of other alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks.
